The Diploma in Business, Administration and Finance (BAF) is an exciting brand new qualification which will introduce young people to the world of business. Depending on the Diploma level, topics will include marketing and sales, communication, business administration, personal finance and financial services, accounting, teams in business, customer service, responding to change and success at work.


In addition to learning about core subjects such as English, maths and ICT the Diploma programme includes work experience as well as the opportunity to learn about business and enterprise by developing a business idea. While studying the Diploma young people will develop skills that employers and higher education have identified as being important for success in the world of business and education.


The BAF Diploma will be available from September 2009 for young people aged 14-19. If you are currently considering your options, you could be one of the first students in England to have the opportunity of studying this new qualification.


The BAF Diploma is part of wider education changes; in total there are 17 different subjects that are becoming available between 2008 and 2011.


The Diploma aims to provide young people, with a learning experience that is exciting and motivating as well as interesting and challenging.
