Employers / Overview

The Business, Administration and Finance (BAF) Diploma is being designed in close consultation with employers.

Employers have, for some time, been dissatisfied with the level of skills and knowledge young people have when they enter the workplace. The Diploma content will be designed by employers to meet the skills needs of the business and finance sector.

We have consulted with several hundred employers using questionnaires, telephone interviews, and meeting forums to determine the skills and knowledge employers need in young people so that they are better prepared for the world of work, now and in the future.

The data we have gathered is being used to identify the skills, knowledge and understanding of the Business, Administration and Finance (BAF) Diploma content.

We will continue to consult with employers through all phases of design and development i.e. design, qualification development and preparation for delivery in 2009.
